Clive is his young days at the lake. One of his favorite places to be.

Clive went peacefully to the Rainbow Bridge this morning at his home. Everyone's kind words have been read and appreciated. I have no more words to express the loss I feel from my little baby. He was the best little furbaby ever. He always wanted to please me -- and he did. Clive is now playing with his brother, Buster, in heaven. I can only imagine what a wonderful reunion that was.

We will miss all our new friends. I'll start another blog and keep visiting you all often.

Wow. I can't believe the outpouring of support for my beautiful Clive. Thank you all for your words of support and encouragement. You've no idea how much it helps at times like this.

Clive is not doing well. I'll save all the details because I'm sort of tired of talking about them. I'm exhausted physically (he's up all night) and mentally. I've decided against chemo for Clive, so we'll just make sure he is comfortable as he can be. Not the way I expected to spend my birthday today.

I wanted, and started, to write each person personally to thank them for their kind words, but it is too much at this time, so please know I've read all your notes to us. Extra hugs to your furbabies tonight.

Been gone a while......

Clive's mom hijacking the post today. I haven't posted in a while because I have been very stressed out. Clive has had some health issues going on. At first we suspected urine crystals and maybe kidney stones. He had the crystals but nothing that should be causing his complications with urination and "the other". The frequency that he needs to do potties has gone up quite a bit and last night he had me up 5 times. He stands with his leg up forever and yet doesn't urinate a whole lot.

We had yet another visit to the vet today for another barrage of tests and was poked and prodded all over. I received the worst news I could get. Clive has a tumor on his urethra. It is inoperable. He could take chemo drugs to shrink the tumor but it won't get rid of it and may not necessarily relieve his condition. The drugs will likely make him sick/nauseous.

I am devestated, to say the least. It's been an emotional day and I just need a little emotional support I guess.

Here is Clive glad to be home from the vet and enjoying a chewie.

Walking on Water

The weather today was so nice that we took a walk to Parker's Lake.

Actually, we took a walk ON Parker's Lake.

They shovel off a small section of the lake for skaters.

This is Clive watching a little girl and her daddy skating.

When we look out the other way onto the lake you can see ice fishers. The ice is too thin for them to drive their cars out there, but usually you will see lots of ice houses and cars out on the ice.

Not only did I walk on water today, I layed on it too!!

Saturday Night Clive

Today started out tough with a trip to the vet where I got 3 shots PLUS an anal exam. Ouch! I cried really loud but it was over fast. After we got home I rested and then Mommy took me out for walkies. It was in the 30's today, so a much needed break from that cold that freezes my feet.

The closer we get to home the more I stall. I like to just stop and sit in the snowbank.

Then I dig my face in the snow. It feels so good!

Here I am on Christmas Day with my cousin Alyx. She used to be scared of me when she was little. Now she is so big!!!

Hibernation Mode

Reposting an old picture because it really feels like hibernation mode. December 21 is the shortest day of the year and we are almost there. I can feel it -- lack of sun, etc. Sometimes just going with the flow, digging in and hiberanting is okay.... for a week or so!

We wish all our friends who are traveling right now or about to, a safe trip. If you're hanging out at home like use, we wish you a fun and content weekend leading up to Christmas.

Monday Night Football!

Monday night football is a big thing this week because the Vikes are playing "da Bears"! Mom isn't a huge viking fan but her best friend since high school Deb,who now lives in Arkansas, is a huge fan, so this post is for her.

Here I am having pregame snacks!! I am wearing my purple color, but you can't see it. Maybe I should have had my face painted.

I'm watching pregame stuff. (Actually, mom was eating and this was the spot directly behind her).

-- some people have lost faith in the Vikes, but most are fairweather fans and tonight will determine if they stay on the band wagon.Good luck Vikes!! It's gonna be the battle of the Adrians!

The Beach

Welcome to one of my favorite places in the winter. I call it the beach. It is actually the floor in front of my mom's sliding glass door but I like to sun bath in front. I will do it in the summer (we have AC alot) but love it in the winter when I'm not in front of the cold marble entry.

Come on... admit it... you are ready for a nap yourself. Nothing like the bright sunshine to soak into your body.

Mom can't resist petting me. Just leave me or rub ma tummah!!!!!

Santa Saturday

Here are the many faces of Santa in our home this holiday season.

Felt and yarn Santa on a "Noel" sign on the front door.

My co-worker, Harry Carlson, handcarved this santa for me.

A hand-carved and hand-painted Russian Santa that I received from a co-worker's husband who used to travel to Russia. She has since passed away from cancer. It is a cherished possession of my moms.

What would Christmas be without a Ty plushie Santa?!!!

This is a Santa Bear from Dayton's Department Store. One of my favorites that they sold during the holiday season. They had a different one very year.

A handblown glass Santa that did't photograph very well.

My Mom's favorite Santa. You can put a candle inside him and he glows from all his cracks and crevises. He is very shiny and happy!

Hope you are all getting in the holiday mood. My mom and her friend have decided that because we love Christmas so much we insist that everyone be be happy! Afterall, it's Christmas dammit!!

Winter Wonderland

We got a good 6 inches or so in the Twin Cities area yesterday.

We went to the soccer field and my mommy let me run off-leash. Woo hoo!!

There's nothing like running through the fluffy virgin snow.

I also like to lay in the snow and roll around and bury my nose in it. Can you see all the snow on my face?

Licking the snow is also fun. I could have just layed out in the snow all afternoon.

Mom is beginning to decorate for Christmas and she was taking pictures of me with my beautiful Christmas ribbons that I got from Hana's mom (she is on my blog list).

Recovering

I've been on a limited diet with no treats and have been feeling sorry for myself. Here I am sulking. But I have been better and my poo is solid!! I've been in a much better mood today. Hurray!

On my walk today I chased a squirrel into a tree and then barked and barked at him. I love to chase little critters.

Can you find him? You might be able to see his tail. He's was scared of me!!

There are lots of geese on Parker's Lake today. There is a light coating of ice on parts. Winter is coming. This is one of my favorite places to walk.

This is a beautiful oak that we pass on our walks to the lake. I wouldn't stay still to be in the picture. Too many things to smell!

Saturday Night Clive -- All about Poo

This is me eating rabbit poo. It is a special delicacy that I hope you have had the chance to enjoy. Mommy has been worried today because I had blood in my poo. I have to go without food today and start on special food tomorrow. It is probably caused because of some loose stools I've been having.

Mommy went to the nephew's birthday party. This picture pretty much says it all. Face full of chocolate and snot.

These are Isak's brother's the twins. They are full of poo too. They were very smiley and urpy tonight. Lots of coo's too.

We woke up to a beautiful light fluffy snowfall.

I love the snow!!!!

This is a neighbor I don't really know, but he was sure happy to see us walking by his house today. Cute, isn't he?

We are so thankful for all our friends, loving family and a warm, safe home. We are so thankful that we live in a country where our biggest worry today was, "Where are Mommy's boots?!!!"

My mom says she loves this pictures because it shows my ear tufts. She just loves those. I don't get it, but she's kind of weird that way.

This is a favorite picture and memory of my mom's first dog, Tink. She got him when she was 18 (pictured here) -- and he was only about 6 weeks. He as taken too soon from his mother but she helped him thrive until 15 years old. Thanks for the love Tink.

This is another favorite of my moms, Jonny Lang. It's not the best picture but she was in first row at a small venue and just loving it. She likes his tufts too. :)

Most the leaves are off of the trees now. Here I am by a massive pile of leaves. I love to sniff and pee on all these leaves! Fun!

Surprisingly, there are still some flowers around -- like these Snap Dragons.

There are still berries on this tree. Hope it will help feed all those little critters I like to chase!

Puppy Uglies!

We've been emailing with friends about what some people call the "puppy ugglies". It is once the pups have grown out of their very cute, cuddly stage and are entering into adolescence. I dug back and found a pick of my beautiful Clive and his late brother Buster:

Clive is on the left and Buster is on the right. Our friend John Tewksbury who started the PeskiPix list wrote me after I sent in this picture that my dogs were sure in there "uggly puppy' stage. I was soooo upset! I never once even thought of these babies as being ugly. I now look back and see the gangly bodies, thin coats and big ears. I forgive you John Tewks! (What you all don't see is under the afghan they are sitting on is covering the couch they are literally eating and gutting like a stuffed play animal!!!!)

This was taken many years ago when my brother, Buster, was still alive. We lost him at age 6 due to what the vet believed was a brain tumor. I'm on the left, Buster is on the right and our mommy is in the middle. We miss Buster very, very much.

Here we are playing the in bathtub. Buster is the one doing all the splashing and I'm cheering him on. That was a lot of fun!!

Saturday's Walk

I started out on a beautiful afternoon walk today and ran into my friend and neighbor, Lori. Lori is very nice to me even when I bark at her. She just lost her beautiful furbaby, Tachi, this summer and we were all very sad. We walked down to Parker's Lake and saw lots of migratory ducks. Couldn't get a good shot because Mom's camera was running out of batteries.

I think this is young sulfur shelf (because of the orange/yellow color) but not sure. Sulfur shelf is also called "Chicken of the Woods" and is edible. But, like I said, not sure if that is what this is...

I had to stop and rest (stall) on my way home. You can see in the background that we live near a couple of softball fields. It's a good place to get off leash and run -- although I don't do much of that any more. Too much work! Have a great weekend all!

Friday Night Snuggles

Typical Day in the life of me

We had our sixth day in a row of sunshine!! It is so great after starting the month with 17 out of 19 days of rain/grey.

Today was a typical day. Mom came home and we went for a walk. There are bunches of leaves on the ground and I love to sniff them all!

I really enjoy the sunshine. Pretty soon it will be dark for my "after work" walk.

Once we do the turn to start heading home, I like to stall. I stop and roll in the grass, lick myself and sometimes, I just lay there. I'm in no hurry to go back.

This is Spencer's house. I love to bark at him every time we pass. He usually comes to the sliding glass door and barks back at me. I love to hate him!!

Once I'm home I sit by my dish until I get all the treats I want.

Here I have my chew. I love them!!

One of my Mom's favorite blogs is the Bird Chick. She knows all about birds, bees and bunnies!! She just published a book on rabbits. They are very disapproving of everything!

Today is a Gorgeous Day for a Walk

So we did a little walking today and a little bike riding.

Early this morning Mom took me walking while she rode bike. I get so excited that I bark and bark and then I run full speed ahead!! At least for a while.... then we stopped and looked at some pretty trees.

This weekend was peak for the trees Fall colors in the Twin Cities. Today is windy and a lot of leaves are now on the ground, but we found some that were just beautiful. These yellow trees just seem to glow in the morning sun.

I also got an afternoon walk in.

Here I'm sniffing around the fence on a big hill across from Parkers Lake.

We found a beautiful garden with all sort of decorative grasses.

Mom was busy taking photos, so I decided to take a rest and eat some...grass!!

There's nothing better than some sunshine, a walk and some good green grass!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere!

Saturday was a perfect day for picking out pumpkins. They had every kind of pumpkin you could imagine -- even white ones and these lumpy ones!

Family Weekend

It was family portrait weekend on Saturday and we had a beautiful day for it. We've had 17 out 19 days of rain so far in October, so we got lucky. Here is Nana and Papa with the grandkids. The twins are 11 weeks old. Jack is 5, Alyx 14 and Isak almost 3.

I wasn't invited for pictures, so I stayed home and sulked until mommy came home to take me on a fun walk.

Please meet my best friend, Chloe. She is my neighbor and I gave her the pretty ribbon necklace she is wearing.

This is Chloe and her mom, Sue. Sue is very special to me because she takes me out walking every afternoon during the week. It would be pretty boring all day if I didn't have those outings. I usually watch Chloe chase after those stupid balls. I don't get it, but it's fun to watch her do it!

Another Grey Day...Ugh

Today was another very, very grey day. It pissed all day. No hard showers, just piss.....

I couldn't wait to get out this morning. My mom decided to put this raincoat on me... I don't care, just get me out!!!!!

I really don't mind the rain coat much. Here I am picking out my fave spots.

Then I spot one of my favorite targets! A bunny! Can you see him. I didn't at first but then I got a wiff of him and chased him off.

I hope everyone is having a great Autumn! If we get some sunshine, it can be the best time of year.

It's grey and wet out but my Mom has a vacation day so I am happy to have her home with me! Here I am enjoying my chewie!
